DDARA Youth Committee would like to thank everybody who took part in the first Battle Carnival. Huge thanks to Access Scaffolding and Country Style UK, without these two companies we not have been able to enter our float. Thank you’s also to Sue Leeves for organising the lorry, Janette from the shop for her continued support, Sean from the White Hart for equipment loan and Andy Saunders for the Olympic Torch.

Our scarecrow is in Battle, please vote for him, he is situated on the roundabout by the skate park. With thanks to all involved especially John Lawler and Bacca for the equipment loan.

Netherfield Church - The remaining services this month are as follows: this Sunday July 15 is a joint service of Holy Communion at Mountfield, Sunday July 22 is a joint service of Holy Communion at Netherfield and the final service is another joint Holy Communion but at Mountfield. All services are at 10 am. and will be advertised here and on church notice boards.

Don’t forget we have a Coffee Morning this Saturday from 10am. to noon at Stonywood, Netherfield. Hosted by Ted and Rosemary Parkinson, there will be stalls to browse and tea or coffee available. Hopefully the weather will give us a couple of hours of sunshine to enjoy their beautiful garden. Please drop in and enjoy the company. Paul Smith Church Warden.

Netherfield Village Hall - We are planning a working party once the weather has improved to decorate and work on the outside of the building, if you are interested in lending a hand please contact Sue at the village shop, food and drink will be provided.

White Hart - There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boules Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.  We have a group of ladies and Gents that play amongst themselves Monday Lunchtimes.

THE MOBILE LIBRARY will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10 on Friday July 20.
