n Nehterfield Church – On Sunday February 19, we have a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Mountfield and the final service, on Sunday February 26 is a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Netherfield. All services are at 10am and will be advertised here and on church notice boards.

n There are still spaces for our Leap Year Quiz is to be held in the church on Wednesday February 29 starting at 7pm. Entry is £7.50 per person to include a bangers and mash supper and a glass of wine. Ideally teams of four should be entered, please ring me on 01424 774233 to book your team in. Remember, you will need to book in order to ensure you get a supper! Paul Smith, churchwarden.

n White Hart - Thursday February 23 is the Annual St Michaels Hospice Quiz which we always like to take part in. The teams consist of four to six players at a cost of £2.50 per head. All monies raised go to the hospice, please support this great cause. To reserve a table please call Sean on 01424 838382.

n On Monday January 31 the ladies darts team played The Bear and lost 6-5. There were wins for Marie, Coral, Mandy and in the doubles there were wins for Coral/Marie and in the trebles wins for Coral/Marie/Jane. Coral also hit two x 100 and Marie one x 100. On Monday February 6 the ladies won 9-2 against Royal Oak. This has now put the ladies on top of the league at the moment but it is very close between all the teams.

On Thursday February 2 darts league White Hart B lost to Queens Head 6-1 and lost the shove penny 4-1. We won the mixed pairs and the ladies pairs but lost the men’s pairs despite all that it was a great night and that is what the friendly league is about. Well played both teams.

On Thursday February 9 White Hart B played the Chequers in a very tight match the team won 4-3 with wins for Marie, Mandy, Neal, Bob and in the shove penny the team won 3-2. The team also won the ladies and men’s pairs but unfortunately lost the mixed doubles.

n There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T R Cars and The Breakaway Club. If you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382.

n White Hart Boules Pitch - The piste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the piste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season. We have a group of ladies and gents who play among themselves Monday lunchtimes.

n The mobile library will be outside the shop from 11.50am–12.10pm today, Friday February 17.
