CHRIST CHURCH: A Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone from Christ Church. As usual, our week begins with Christ Church Tots session on Friday morning for pre-school children and their carers. All are welcome. This Sunday morning, David Crowther will be leading worship at 10.30am. There will also be a Choral Communion Service at 6.30pm on Sunday, to which we have invited the St Anne's congregation. It will be led by John Gordon, and the choir will provide music for Lent. On Wednesday, the Thinktank will meet at the church from 7.30pm to 9pm for a talk by David Streeter on Why Conservation is Important. David is Emeritus Reader in Ecology at the University of Sussex and brings a wealth of knowledge of the natural world. Questions and discussion will follow the talk. Our Lent study courses at St Anne's (Tuesdays at 11am) and Christ church (Thursdays at 7.30pm) continue next week.

WALLANDS SCHOOL: We hosted the Lewes District netball tournament on Wednesday, 13 teams were entered, four of them from Wallands. It was the first time our fourth team had played competitively, it was great to see them so enthusiastic and engaged in their games. Team three won two of their games, team two, four of their games and team one all of theirs. All of the children demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, with some great positioning and game play. Mrs Taylor, who organised the tournament, and Mr Perry, who ran it on the day, were both really pleased with how well it went and were delighted to report that Wallands Team One met Ringmer Team One in an exciting final, which they won 2-1. Both teams will now go on to represent the Partnership at the next stage. Thank you for all the parental support we had, to Mia and Sonny for running the table and Anna, Mr Perry and Sara for umpiring. Well done to all 22 children involved.
