BEAUTIFUL GARDENS: My wife and I have visited some lovely NGS gardens in the last few weeks. Town Place, Freshfield, Sheffield Park consists of three acres of several stunning garden' rooms' surrounded by tall Topiary hedges, so you have no idea what is coming next as you walk from '˜room to room'. Then we visited Ambrose Place in Worthing, which was a row of 14 terraced houses who had all opened their back gardens. It is amazing how much planting can be achieved in small spaces, each one unique and beautiful and all for just a £5 entrance fee, an absolute bargain and well worth the trip. We are gradually working our way through the NGS book each year and we thoroughly recommend them.
