The need for a new chairman followed the resignation of Tony Kemp.

Mr Kemp stepped down from the figurehead role after being elected on May 8.

He joined the parish council in 1999 for four years. He rejoined about three years ago and had been its vice-chairman.

The parish council hopes to fill the vacancy left by Mr Kemp at its October meeting.

Mrs Philippa Seager was also co-opted on to the council at the same meeting.
