New bid for gardens cafe

A RENEWED bid has been made to turn former public toilets in an Aldwick gardens into a cafe.

Arun District Council has re-submitted its intention to change the use of the Marine Park Gardens building.

Its intention is to allow most of the structure to be used for refreshments with the rest kept as public toilets. An outdoor seating area will also be provided.

A statement with its latest application says: “This facility will be unique in the area and will provide local residents and tourists with an alternative refreshment venue that is in keeping with the period era of Bognor Regis.”

A previous proposal by the council was approved in 2012 but was never progressed.
