New care service for older people could create around 50 new jobs

A new company specialising in caring for older people so they can continue living in their own homes, has opened in Willingdon and could create at least 50 new jobs.

Home Instead Senior Care will care for clients in Eastbourne, Hailsham, Polegate, Pevensey Bay and surrounding areas. For owner, Ian Cottrell, 38, this exciting new venture is something he has wanted to do for some time, and is borne out of his experience as a volunteer for Age Concern. Ian volunteered for three years and was shocked by just how much loneliness can affect elderly people and how he was able to do simple things that could dramatically improve their day to day life.

Ian is from Stone Cross and his wife Soraya was born in Hailsham. She is a registered nurse and will be joining the business as director of care. Ian is now recruiting like-minded, caring individuals. For more information on joining the team or on the services provided call on 01323 819191 or visit www.homeinstead.co.uk/eastbourne
