New dry dock partnership is a '˜win-win' situation

Burgess Marine, Britain’s largest independent ship repairer, has linked with the port authority to reinvigorate the business by attracting both its existing customer base and new clients.
Adur Dry Dock has been in use since the 1930s and it is now one of the few remaining dry dock facilities on the south coast.

Hide AdMarine industries have made use of the service over the years and Shoreham Port said that, through significant investment in the infrastructure, huge progress had been made in the operational throughput, efficiency and service provided.
Brian Needle, Burgess Marine’s operations director, said: “The facility is superb, as is its location between our existing facilities in Dover and Portsmouth.
“We already have colleagues living close to the port and its proximity to our other sites means that we can easily cover larger packages of work and major refits.
“It’s a win-win for us, especially as the team within the port are so ‘pro’ ship repair.”
