Karen Beck lives in Eastbourne and has previously worked for Ellis Builders and Taylor Engley estate agents – and most recently for Arrow FM. She brings a wealth of experience to the role with the Herald and is excited about the challenge ahead.

Karen will be working on an ambitious programme of events including the hugely popular Eastbourne Business Awards at the Grand Hotel in November.

She promises a few surprises, including a ‘new and glamorous’ twist to the Sussex Women In Business Awards, and a revamped Achievers’ Awards night with a theatre-style approach to celebrate many of the unsung heroes of local life.

“I can’t wait to get started,” said Karen. “This is a wonderful town and our events schedule reflects the spirit of the community. I look forward to working with our existing sponsors and to bringing in some new names from my own contacts.”
