The Heart of Sidley (HoS) will use the money from One Stop on Turkey Road to brighten up Ninfield Road.

The money comes from the shop’s Carriers for Causes campaign, funded through sales of 5p plastic bags.

HoS secretary Linda Seddon said: “We really want to brighten up Ninfield Road and what better way to do this than to plant flowers and shrubs that give a welcoming feel when you come into Sidley.”

The new floral displays will add to last year’s work by HoS to provide planters for Ninfield Road.

Linda, who is pictured with the shop manager Kerry Fielding, added: “We’re so grateful for the support from Kerry and look forward to seeing the planters in situ, they’ll make a real difference to our village.”

The money is available to support projects that benefit the community and HoS was eligible as it is situated within two miles of a participating One Stop store.
