Plans for a new games area and temporary classrooms at a Seaford primary school were approved on Wednesday.
Cradle Hill Community Primary School’s application was approved by members of East Sussex County Council’s Planning Committee.
According to officers there is a shortfall of 60 school places over the next two years in Seaford, with a ‘bulge’ in the reception year intake in September 2015 and September 2016.
The new double mobile classroom would be located in the gap between the main school buildings to the south of the site.
Meanwhile the new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) will provide more hard surface play area for the additional pupils at the school.
