“It’s fantastic news that we have Ms Dohel on board – we feel that we have secured a strong leader to continue the great progress that Lucy Monk has made for Ark Helenswood,” the letter said.

“Ms Dohel and Mrs Monk will be working closely together during the course of Term 6 to ensure a smooth handover and secure plans for 2016-2017 and beyond.

“I know that Ms Dohel will be keen to meet with all students, parents/carers and members of the wider school community in due course.

“I know you will join me in wishing Ms Dohel a warm welcome.”

Ms Dohel’s previous roles include vice principal of Pimlico Academy, where she was part of the leadership team that moved the school from special measures to outstanding in just over two years.
