Choir leader Marian Ham says she is delighted with the response to the new venture. “There are ten registered members who meet every Thursday afternoon at Peasmarsh Memorial Hall for an hour (3.50-4.50pm) to enjoy singing together,” she said. “The children are learning a range of songs in unison and in harmony, and are really enjoying the weekly sessions. It is going very well.

“The choir has a large teddy mascot, who visits RACCC every week!”

There’s still places in the choir for children aged 7-11 years, who live in Rye and surrounding areas.

RACCC meets every week during term time; cost is £4 per child per week. Marion added: “Come and sing with us, it is great fun!”

There is also an Easter Holiday Singing Workshop for children aged 7-12 years living in Battle and Rye Areas. It will be held at Peasmarsh Memorial Hall, Thursday April 6, 10.30-3.45pm.
