New novel is set in Rye

A NEWLY published book is set in a fictional version of Rye.

Dead Men Lie was published this week by Canterbury based author David Proctor.

Rye is portrayed as the small English town Stormouth in the eighteenth century and features a deviant parish priest.

David said: “The reader is taken on a journey of intrigue, deceit, betrayal, inhumanity and ultimately undying love. More importantly it examines a woman’s struggle against tyranny in 18th century England.”
