De Vere Venues, new operators of Uckfield’s East Sussex National, hosted a spectacular welcome party for more than 250 clients, local businesses and media last month.
The launch event began with a hospitality day and friendly golf game on the world championship course. Beauty therapists at the on-site Horsted Spa and Health Club provided a range of relaxing treatments, including express facials, manicures and massages.
Evening guests were greeted by general manager Tracy Tennant and Showgirl Dancers got the party started. After drinks and canapes the 104 bedroom hotel and conference facilities were showcased while guests enjoyed wine tasting.
As night fell, revellers moved to the National Suite to snack on mini-roast dinners complete with braised local cabbage and roast beef, and decadent puddings, while professional dancers sashayed across the dance floor to the sound of the iconic Wurlitzer Organ, one of the only originals left in the UK, which has a permanent home at the East Sussex National. The evening ended with roulette, a late night supper and free overnight stay.
Darren Patt, De Vere development director said: ‘’East Sussex National is in a superb rural location with stunning views over the Downs and surrounding countryside, offering leisure guests and business delegates unrivalled hotel, golf and conferencing facilities in the region.’’
