The Studio School, which will open its doors in September 2013, will be the first in the South East to focus on creative industries. It will be entirely independent from the local education authority.

The school will have space for a total of 300 students aged between 14 and 19 years old and will offer mainstream qualifications linked to the world of work.

It will have a close connection with local employers who will be involved in all aspects of the curriculum. Students will spend a significant amount of time each week in unpaid and paid work placements linked directly to employment opportunities in the region, especially those within the creative industries.
