Mike Wakeling from West Sussex Scouts County Team attended the launch evening. He said: “Scouting offers young people and adults the opportunity to take part in a fun and exciting programme of challenges and adventures.

“And we’re so pleased to now be able to offer this to more young people in Walberton and the neighbouring community.”

Martin Roberts, part of the new leadership team at Walberton said: “I’m new to Scouting, and the welcome I’ve received has been amazing.

“Our first meeting has been a great success. There’s a real buzz for Scouting and I’m so pleased to be part of it. Many people think volunteering is hard work but from what I’ve experienced so far it’s great fun.”

Scouting is growing in West Sussex with more people enjoying the fun, challenge and adventure than ever before.
