St Wilfrid’s Hospice currently has seven charity shops, a Retro & Vintage shop and three furniture outlets that raise essential funds to support the range of services the Hospice provides.

Siobhan Robinson, head of retail, said: “The hospice has lots of support north of the downs and we are really excited about the new shop. Midhurst is a thriving market town with a great selection of shops, we are looking forward to joining this strong retail centre and contributing to the local community.”

St Wilfrid’s offers inpatient and day care to patients in West Sussex who reside north of the Downs who are given community support.

Brendan Amesbury, the hospice’s medical director, said: “Even though a lot of support can be provided to a person to die at home sometimes their preferred place of death is in a hospice.

“St Wilfrid’s offers this possibility to people from the Midhurst area, in consultation with the Midhurst Macmillan palliative care team.

“We are also able to offer people attendance at the day services department at St Wilfrid’s.”
