New shopfront planned in Elmer

Lloyds Pharmacy has applied for planning permission to install a new white aluminium shopfront, a new automatic assisted door and new external security shutter to an empty shop in Elmer.

The company's application to Arun District Council is part of its proposals to open a pharmacy at 35 Elmer Road.

The need for the facility to be sited in Middleton has been the subject of a long-running campaign by local councillors.
