New stadium song

SOUTHWICK punk poet Attila the Stockbroker and musical colleagues could be Top of the Pops next week if a new single by Brighton and Hove Albion fans continues to climb the charts.

Tom Hark (We Want Falmer), by Seagulls Ska, was at number 10 in the midweek chart, as well as topping the pre-release chart on www.amazon.co.uk and at www.hmv.co.uk The single features Attila, also known as John Baine, and a group of ska-loving Brighton fans.

Attila urged everyone to go out and buy the single before Sunday and get it in the charts.

It is a rewrite of the Piranhas' classic football anthem, with new lyrics supporting the Albion's campaign for a new stadium at Falmer.

All profits from the single will go the football club's Alive and Kicking fund, as will proceeds from a Seagulls Ska gig at the Engine Room (opposite Brighton's West Pier) on Sunday night.
