NEW SUPERMARKET OPENS

Morrisons multi-million pound new store at Crowborough opened on Monday (January 29).

The Chairman of Wealden District Council, Councillor Mrs Pat Kennedy joined Morrisons chairman Sir Kenneth Morrison, chief executive Marc Bolland and store general manager, John Howell to officially open the store.

The ribbon cutting ceremony opened Morrisons 368th store.

General Manager John Howell has been looking forward to opening day:

He said: 'The team have been looking forward to opening the store's doors for the first time. Over the past weeks, the team has been working night and day to ensure that customers enjoy shopping, Morrisons style, from day one. Pleasing the shoppers in Crowborough will be the reward for all the training and preparation.'
