New use for Aldwick loos

FORMER public toilets in Aldwick could be converted into a traditional tearoom.

Arun District Council has submitted a planning application to transform the currently closed building in Marine Park Gardens.

The council envisages the work being carried out with a local organisation the and tearooms being run by a charity.

The immediate landscaping around the site will opened up to deter anti-social behaviour.

But the council has pledged it will still reflect the Art Nouveau design of the gardens.
