New visitor guide hot off the press

THE new Battle visitor guide 2014 has arrived hot off the press and is now available from the Visitor Information Point at Yesterday’s World.

The guide, produced by the Battle Marketing Group, contains helpful maps, details about accommodation, businesses and attractions, Keane Trail references and the events calendar for 2014.

The guide aims to showcase the best of Battle, both the historical and the more modern sides.

There is also information in the guide about a major new event for Battle, the Battle Arts & Music Festival in October 2014 and even beyond that, to 2016 and the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

Cllr Kevin Dixon, a member of the Battle Marketing Group said: “There was good interest to advertise in the 2014 guide and we have been able to produce 110,000 copies, an increase of 10,000 on the 2013 edition.

“As well as being available throughout 1066 Country, the guides will be distributed within Battle’s key target markets in the South East and London and also taken overseas to travel exhibitions by 1066 Country Marketing.

“The guide is also available to download from both battlesussex.co.uk and visit1066country.com and is available on request via the latter.”

Businesses who advertised in the 2014 guide will also be included in the listings on the town map when it is reprinted and they automatically become 1066 Country members with an entry on visit1066country.com and also battlesussex.co.uk.

Battle town businesses are welcome to collect a supply of guides from Yesterday’s World.
