EASTER SERVICES: Today, Good Friday, Contemplation at the Cross will be at St Mary's Church at 11am. Easter Day, Holy Communion at 8am followed by Family Communion at 9.30am. If you require a lift to church, please telephone in advance on 722582. Everyone most welcome to any of these services.

SPRING SHOW: Newick Horticultural Society will be holding their Spring Show on Saturday, April 2, in the village hall at 2.30pm. This is always most splendid show with all the lovely spring flowers. You can also enjoy a cup of tea with a good selection of homemade cakes. If you have recently moved into the village this is a great opportunity to see a great displays and meet local people.

DON’T FORGET: To put your clocks forward one hour tomorrow, Saturday, evening. I wish all the readers of this column a very happy Easter, fingers crossed that the weather will be lovely and warm. As I write this, on Thursday March 17, the weather has been beautiful and I enjoyed the afternoon in my garden. Take care and have a lovely weekend.
