Newick

COUNTRY MARKET: Newick Country Market will be open today, Friday, in the village hall from 10am to 11am. You can purchase local vegetables, some of these are organically grown. There is always a good selection of homemade cakes and savoury items, fresh eggs, preserves, local cheeses and charcuterie. A grand selection of homemade greetings cards, knitted items, flowers and plants. You need to be an early bird at the village hall so not to be disappointed as several items sell out quickly. You may also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

CHURCH SERVICES: Services this weekend at St Mary’s Church are 8am Holy Communion (BCP) followed at 10.30am with Holy Communion (CW). On Wednesday there will be a Licensing Service at 7.30pm celebrant and the preacher will be the Bishop of Lewes. It would be lovely to see the church full of people on this great occasion to welcome Rev James Hollinsworth as the priest in charge.

DIARY DATES: January 24, Newick Cinema will be showing the film Suffragette. January 30, Newick Twinning Association Quiz Night. Further details next week.
