NHS shake-up plan delayed

Consultation on a major shake-up of NHS services across Sussex has been delayed until next year.

NHS plans for the counties were expected to be revealed at the start of formal consultation in November

The primary care trusts (PCTs) said the delay was to ensure they had "time to listen".

The spokeswoman said no date had been set for consultation to get under way next year.

Protests have been held across Surrey and Sussex over feared hospital cutbacks.
