Night will be a ball for animal cause

AN EVENING of dancing delight will help to drum up vital funds for an animal sanctuary.

The Hilton Avisford Park hotel, in Yapton Lane, Walberton, is being transformed to play host to a glamorous masquerade ball and jive disco, on Saturday, March 15.

The event is being organised as a tribute to the late television star and animal-lover Alexandra Bastedo, who set up a sanctuary near Pulborough.

Dance teacher Paul Witheyman and his wife Jac, who are volunteers at the sanctuary, have organised the dance.

Paul said: “They do fantastic work for animals and really need to keep the place going since Alex passed away.”

The fun starts at 7.30pm and continues until midnight. As well as plenty of great music and dancing, there will be a licensed bar, charity raffle and a light supper. Tickets, price £10, are available from Paul on 01243 262323 or 07821 203413 or email [email protected] for more details.
