HOOE OPEN GROUP: Hooe Open Group (Ladies Club) met on Friday, September 11 at Hooe Village Hall. The guest speaker was Councillor Stuart Earl who gave a detailed talk on the work of the Friends of Bexhill Hospital.

The money raised by supporters amounts to many thousands of pounds, which goes toward the purchase of very expensive medical equipment, to enable our local Bexhill hospital to provide services, which otherwise those requiring treatment would have to go to the Conquest or Eastbourne General Hospitals. An example of this is the very recent facility for eye operations, mainly for cataract surgery.

The ladies of Open Group were pleased to present Stuart with a donation of £100.

The next Carnival meeting is the A.G.M on Wednesday October 14 at the Working Men’s Club at 8.30 p.m., and the Committee will be providing food; Chilli, Curry, Chicken and chips. You are invited to go along and listen to all the exciting new ideas, have your say on the Theme for the events and give a pledge to help for an hour when you can…. Every little helps to create such a treasured Village event! You will be very welcome!
