PLANT SALE: On Saturday April 25, Ninfield Horticultural Society hold their Annual Plant Sale and Coffee Morning from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Memorial Hall. This is the time to buy from their excellent selection of locally grown plants. They are combining the sale with a coffee morning so please go along and meet your friends. Enjoy homemade cakes and coffee while making your garden purchases.

MESSY CHURCH: The next Messy Church at Ninfield Methodist will be on Wednesday, April 29, from 3.30 – 5.30 p.m. (straight after school). All young people ages 4 – 11 years are very welcome and must be accompanied by their parent, or carer. The theme this month will be ‘All things bright & beautiful’ with all the activities being run by the Ninfield Flower Group. The afternoon ends with a meal for everyone.

FIRST RESPONDERS: The Bexhill & District Community First Responders, who cover Bexhill, Ashburnham, Ninfield, Catsfield, Crowhurst, Hooe , Whydown & Normans Bay, will be meeting on Wednesday, May 6. MOBILE LIBRARY: The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in the villages today, May 8 & 29 at:

Hooe, opposite Denbigh Court, 10.40 a.m. - 11.10 a.m.

Ninfield, Downsview (off Church Lane), 11.20 a.m. - 11.45 p.m.

HOOE OPEN GROUP: The next meeting will take place on Friday, May 8 at 2.30 p.m., which will be a talk from Barry Wilkinson entitled “It’s me again” (Reminiscent’s from the past). NINFIELD FLOWER GROUP: On Monday May 11 in the Memorial Hall, Ninfield Flower Group welcome Janice Mason with her demonstration entitled “Seasons Bounty”. COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning will be held on Wednesday, May 13, at 10.00 a.m. in The Methodist Hall in aid of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. In addition to coffee and conversation with friends old and new, there will be home made cakes for sale, bric a brac, a raffle and more!!! The hospice does a fantastic job caring for children with life shortening conditions and their siblings and families. Do go along and support this very worthy cause. NINFIELD PARISH COUNCIL: Ninfield Parish Council are holding their AGM and Annual Parish meeting on May 20, 7.15 p.m. at Ninfield Memorial Hall. Planning Committee meetings precede the full council meetings, starting at 7 p.m. All Ninfield residents are invited to attend. The agendas for all public Parish Council Meetings are posted on notice boards throughout the village and are also available on their website: ninfield.webplus.net.

EAST SUSSEX HEARING RESOURCE: East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre is a registered charity working in partnership with Adult Social Care to provide a no charge mobile information and advice service for Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people living in East Sussex. The vehicle, which is funded by the Big Lottery, is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening tests (if time permits). The mobile unit will be visiting Ninfield on Thursday, May 21, at Blacksmiths Inn Car Park, The Green from 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. The bus is accessible to wheelchair users and representatives from both the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre and Adult Social Care will be available to provide individual information and advice on all aspects of hearing loss.
