NAGS: Ninfield Action Group had a very successful drop in session last Saturday. The local residents had the opportunity to meet with the Chairman of the NAGs, David Swales, along with political party representatives: Huw Merriman(Cons.) Michelle Thew ( Lab.) and Geoffrey Bastion( UKIP). U18 FOOTBALL: Last Sunday saw the U18 team loose against Raw Skill Rangers with a score of 1-5. Kevin Regan sent this in: “A last minute change of venue to Hooe can’t be blamed. Lack of stamina allowed the opposition to mount almost continual attacks and only thanks to the defence holding firm was the scoreline kept down. One flash of individual brilliance produced a great goal, but simply not enough against a tidal wave of attacks. One positive that must be borne in mind is that some of these teams have a great number of players approaching 18 so are physically able to dominate the range of ages in our team, but no point hoping we can do better next year if we get relegated - and there will always be stronger teams. It seems we still have to learn to play as a team, understanding both the strong and the weak points of your team mates and making sure you put them into positions where their strengths give us the best opportunities. We have the raw talent, it just needs polishing. There will always be days when you get a bad result, you have to learn the resilience to say OK, learn what went wrong and avoid letting it happen again. Show us what you can do next week, come on lads, there’s time to get some good results of our own.” This Sunday, March 1, they are at home against TW Youth Ridgewaye, 10.30 a.m., they could really do with the home support. Then their tough match will be on March 8 at home on Ninfield Rec, when they face Pevensey and Westham. CAFE CHURCH: Ninfield Methodist Church invite you to Cafe Church. For all-ages on Sunday, March 1, at 10.30 a.m. and will include breakfast of croissant, jams, cheese, coffee / juice. Make a date - they look forward to seeing you.

NINFIELD FLOWER GROUP: Monday, March 2, in the Memorial Hall, Ninfield Flower Group welcome Gill Smaggasgale with her demonstration entitled “Listening in Colour”. Non members are welcome at a charge of £4.00 to include refreshments. All flowers demonstrated will be raffled at the end of the evening. FIRST RESPONDERS: The Bexhill & District Community First Responders, who cover Bexhill, Ashburnham, Ninfield, Catsfield, Crowhurst, Hooe , Whydown & Normans Bay, will be meeting on Wednesday, March 4. NINFIELD PARISH COUNIL: Ninfield Parish Council are next meeting on March 5, 7 p.m. at Ninfield Methodist Church Hall. All Ninfield residents are invited to attend.

HOOE OPEN GROUP: The next meeting of Hooe Open Group will be on March 13, 2 p.m. at Hooe Village Hall. Alan Tidmarsh OBE, the well known BBC personality who for many years was a BBC Overseas Correspondent, will be telling the club about his life and times. On this occasion husbands, men friends and “Toy boys” are invited to join their ladies! JUMBLE SALE: Ninfield Flower group are holding a jumble sale on March 14 in the Memorial Hall. Admission is 50p/person. Doors open at 2 p.m. Lots of bargains, books, cakes etc. Anyone who is unable to attend but would like to donate please telephone Jennifer on 01424 892878 or take their donations to the hall in the morning after 9.30 a.m.
