when the members were suitably entertained by Alan Fuller, who was a beat policeman in and around Bexhill some thirty years ago. He had a number of very humorous recollections from his time as an old fashioned copper. Alan also had a collection of jokes relating to his time in the police force as well as from life in general. Altogether it was a very pleasant way to spend two or three hours on a Friday afternoon. The membership of the club is growing, the November meeting being no exception, with four new faces joining the meeting. Being the time of the year when one is becoming aware that the festive season is almost upon us, the members were treated to warm mince pies with their afternoon tea. The next event will be at the Cooden Beach Golf Club where the club will be holding it’s Christmas luncheon. This is now a regular event to end the programme for the year and a special occasion on which the members can invite friends as their guest. If you would like to consider joining the Hooe Open Group, go along to their January meeting being held on Friday 11th which will be a members event and will present an opportunity for new members to get to know each other. For further information on the Hooe Open Group Edna Wallis is always there to welcome you, she can be contacted any time on 01424 842591.
