NINFIELD VILLAGE SOCIETY: Ninfield Village Society are holding a meeting and their AGM, in the Reading Room, Church Lane at 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday April 7.

The meeting is open to all and they would like to invite anyone to join them who have an interest in helping to maintain the amenities of our village. After the AGM, there will be a brief report on the work undertaken during the past year and a discussion of future projects. Following a refreshment break, they have their guest speaker Julian Porter from Bexhill Museum, who will talk about the interesting archaeological finds made on the new Bexhill-Hastings Link Road route. HOOE OPEN GROUP: The next meeting of the Club will be on April 10, commencing at 2.30 p.m. at Hooe Village Hall when the speaker will be Elizabeth Downs giving a talk entitled “Assisted Dogs”. Visitors are more than welcome on payment of £2 and if you choose the become a full member the annual fee is currently £10, which includes two subsidised events. CHRISTIAN VOICES: Christian Voices, the Musical Drama Group, will be performing their next play in April. It is called “Malachi” and is based on what happens when the prophet Malachi meets Christian people leading unchristian lives. The play was written by Alan Young and the songs composed by Dave Chamberlin. Christian Voices will be performing at Ninfield Methodist Church Hall, on Saturday, April 11 at 3.0 p.m.

As usual, the admission is free and all are very welcome to attend.

NINFIELD FLOWER GROUP: On Monday, April 13, in the Memorial Hall. They welcome Lynn Carter with her demonstration entitled “Floral Fantasia Colourtastic.”. Non members welcome at a cost of £4.00 to include refreshments. All floral arrangements demonstrated will be raffled at the end of the evening. ARTHRITIS RESEARCH UK: On Wednesday April 15, the Arthritis Research UK are holding a coffee morning from 10.30 a.m. until 12 midday in the Reading Room, Church Lane, Ninfield. Non members, and New members will be most welcome. Contributions for Raffle, and for the Bring and Buy stall would be appreciated. Entry £1 includes coffee and biscuits! NINFIELD LOCAL HISTORY GROUP: On April 16 they will be holding their AGM, followed by Kevin Gordon speaking on the “Lost Village of Tidemills”. Kevin is a well liked speaker so they look forward to seeing him again.

FIRST RESPONDERS: The Bexhill & District Community First Responders, who cover Bexhill, Ashburnham, Ninfield, Catsfield, Crowhurst, Hooe , Whydown & Normans Bay, will be meeting on Wednesday, May 6. This is at Bexhill Fire Station at 7.30 p.m., every first Wednesday in the month. If you are interested in finding out more please contact the Team Leader, Mike Dean on 07970024135.

NINFIELD PARISH COUNCIL: Ninfield Parish Council are holding their AGM and Annual Parish meeting on May 20, 7.15 p.m. at Ninfield Memorial Hall. Planning Committee meetings precede the full council meetings, starting at 7 p.m. All Ninfield residents are invited to attend. The agendas for all public Parish Council Meetings are posted on notice boards throughout the village and are also available on their website: ninfield.webplus.net.
