Ninfield & Hooe Village Voice - June 27

FOOD MARKET: This morning from 11am to 1pm in the Blacksmiths Inn car park, you have a chance to visit a market organised by Mark.

I am sure it will prove worthwhile. To add to the temptation, there will be a special lunch on offer for senior citizens, provided by the owners of the Blacksmiths. I do hope the weather is kind and there will be plenty of support for both events. I offer my apologies - as most people know, I have a regular commitment on a Friday morning. I hope to hear about the Market from a satisfied customer.

NINFIELD Golden Circle: Members thoroughly enjoyed their meeting held on June 17. Mark Sivyer found nearly every member had brought something for him to talk about and estimate its possible value. Mark was warmly thanked for making the afternoon so fascinating. The time passed quickly, after which Mark was invited to join the ladies for one of their delicious teas. Next month, the ladies and their guests will enjoy their outing to Amerley Working Museum - more news nearer the date.

This is the largest post mill in the UK and offers interest to all the family, having been lovingly restored recently. It is open from 2.30pm to 5pm, conveniently after lunch and before teatime. Admission is by donation. The next date it will be open is Sunday, July 20.

NINFIELD Bowls Club: The match on Saturday last was at home against Hastings Visually Handicapped. Ninfield were the victors. On Sunday it was a league match, home to Staplecross, who won by just one shot. Both matches were very enjoyable. More news next week, when fingers are crossed for fine weather.
