No holiday rest for keen Bognor runner Jessica

A Bognor Regis mother is spending the next bank holiday running for charity.

Jessica Heatley will be pounding London's streets on bank-holiday Monday in the BUPA London 10,000 in aid of the National Autistic Society.

She will join an anticipated 12,500 runners on a route which takes in many of the city's most famous landmarks.

Jessica is aiming to raise 500 for the society towards its services such as the autism helpline, befriending scheme and parent-to-parent support service.

She chose to support the charity because her daughter has autism.

"I'm really pleased to be running the BUPA London 10,000 for the NAS," she said. "It's going to be a huge personal challenge.

"But knowing I'm helping more than half a million people with autism in the UK will give me all the incentive I need to cross the finish line. It's certainly a different way to do a spot of sightseeing."
