No make-up trend ‘overwhelms’ cancer charity

WOMEN across West Sussex have been posting photos of themselves on social media sites with no make-up on to raise awareness for Cancer Research.

The ‘no make-up selfie trend’ encourages women to share a photo and donate to the charity. Once they have uploaded their post they then nominate others to do the same.

Lynn Daly, spokeswoman for Cancer Research UK in Sussex, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed with donations and support in the last 24 hours, thanks to people donating to us as part of the #nomakeupselfie trend.

“If people would like to support our work to beat cancer sooner, they can text BEAT to 70099 to donate £3 or visit www.cruk.org.”
