Normandy veterans 65th anniversary lunch

Normandy veterans, widows, family members and friends will mark the 65th anniversary of D-Day on Saturday June 6.

Members of East Sussex Normandy Veterans Association will attend a lunch at the Royal British Legion club in Little Common and be thinking back to historic moments in Normandy in remembrance of D-Day 1944.

The carvery lunch will cost 5.95 per head, then in the afternoon tickets are available for a band concert at 3. Profits from this will go to the Poppy Appeal.

Little Common British Legion has then organised a dance night which will feature Lumpy And The Lumpetts, who will play music from the 1960's and 1970's; entrance to this evening entertainment will cost 5 and tickets are available for these two events from the bar at Little Common RBL in Meads Avenue.
