As we reach the end of the Bonfire season, we are really looking forward to Northiam’s first year as a member of Sussex Bonfire Council. Our Procession and Firework Display will be on Saturday 23rd November, so please spread the word! Even though everyone should have had a leaflet through the door, there are still people who don’t know it is happening! I hope they don’t live on Main Street!!

Make a note in your diary, and invite your friends over – it should be good! There will be visiting Societies, including drummers and you can watch the torchlit parade from Main Street then follow the procession onto the field where there will be a large bonfire and a firework display. Collectors along the route will be rattling buckets in aid of our three charities this year – Northiam Pre-school, Northiam Scouts and Frewen College.

The parade starts at 7.30pm, and we would be grateful if people could park cars off the route if at all possible. The parades tend to be quite noisy, so please take precautions with animals and young children.

The Village Hall Trust are holding another Book Sale on Saturday 30th November, with a range of books and jigsaws, many suitable for presents or to keep for your own Christmas pleasure.
