Autumn Show: Once again, the Horticultural Society delighted us with their Autumn Show – a positive riot of colour and bucolic wondrousness, leaving those of us with weather-lashed gardens wondering how so many beautiful, pristine dahlias could have been brought to the table. There was some truly inspiring floral art, and it was quite surprising to see that the judge had managed to make critical comments, which shows that there’s always something we can learn! Very many thanks to the committee who manage to run such a complicated event with such good humour and efficiency, even when disorganised people like me wander around the hall trailing bits of loose foliage and leaving things in the wrong place!
