Badminton: Badminton Clubs meet on Fridays in the Pretious Sports Hall. Adults meet at 8.15pm on Fridays and 5.45pm on Mondays, and both clubs will be pleased to see new faces – just turn up.

Dance Club: There’s Sequence Dancing in the Village Hall each Friday at 7.30pm. Call Tony Pomfret to find out more (01797 253287).

Over 60s: On Tuesday, the Over 60s will enjoy Carol George’s singing. All very welcome in the Village Hall at 2pm

Coffee Stop: Pop into the Church Centre on Wednesday mornings to catch up with the news. Coffee Stop is open from 10-12.

Lace Group: The Lace Group meets in the Jenkins Room at 2pm on Wednesday.

Seniors’ Club: All pensioners are welcome to the Club which meets each Thursday in Northiam Village Hall. There is always plenty to do and chat about, and whilst everyone arrives about 10.30, there is tea and coffee and the chance to take a look at the bring and buy stall, or the bring and win raffle. After extend chair exercises to improve mobility, members are served a two course home-cooked lunch followed by the week’s entertainment – all for £7. If you would like to join, or know someone who would, please contact Jane (252973) or Linda (252283) who can also arrange for transport if necessary.

The Citizens Advice Bureau will be available at the back of the Village Hall between 10am and noon.

Parish Council: The Parish Council meets in the Jenkins Room at 7pm on Thursday.

Messy Church: Everyone is invited to join Messy Church for a walk on Sunday 12th July leaving the church at 3pm for a walk ending in a cream tea!

Open Gardens: South Grange, the home of Linda and Mike Belton, on Quickbourne Lane, will be open on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 23rd July for charity.

Children’s Club: For the first time St. Mary’s Church is having a Holiday Club for Primary School aged children and the theme will be Polar Explorers! Polar Explorers is for children aged 5 -11 years and will run from Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th August, 10am-12:30pm at St. Mary’s Church. Sarah White is taking bookings – 253118.

Concert: Following the success of the Tongswood Choir earlier in the year, St Mary’s Churcyh uis hosting a performance of Spem in Alium – a 40 part motet written by Thomas Tallis for Queen Elizabeth I’s birthday. Tongswood return, with young choristers, Oxford choral scholars and local singers. Tickets are available from - 01797 260868 – and are £10 for the concert, or £20 for the concert and buffet supper, and it will be on Sunday 26th July at 5pm.

Summer Fairs: Northiam Primary School’s Summer Fete will be on Saturday 18th July 11-2, and Northiam Village Hall Trust’s traditional Village Fair and Boot Fair will be held on the Playing Fields on Saturday 1st August. Please contact Marie 01797 253264 to book stalls or boot pitches.
