The Mill Toy Museum: Sad news to start with, the Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum has now closed. The Museum grew from Phil Collins’ hobby and has given a great deal of pleasure to many locals and visitors alike. We wish Phil and Kathy well as they retire in order to spend more time with the family and pursue other interests, although I think we can be assured that the collection will continue to grow! You can’t keep an enthusiast down.

Coffee Morning: All along to the Village Hall for a chat over a cuppa at the monthly Coffee Morning with stalls, which is open for business from 9.30-11.30am today (Friday).

Over 60s: If you qualify, you will be very welcome in the Village Hall on Tuesday afternoon to join the Over 60s, who will, no doubt, be inspired by Keith Collins as he gives a painting demonstration. Keith has encouraged many villagers to discover their talent for painting, and his own works are rather desirable, so it should be an excellent meeting. Starting time 2pm.

WI: Mrs Pat Bryer will be the speaker at this month’s WI meeting, to be held in the Jenkins Room at 2pm on Wednesday. As her topic is Joyce Grenfell, I am sure there will be mirth and a high probability of catch phrases being resurrected!

Seniors’ Club: All pensioners are welcome to the Club which meets each Thursday in Northiam Village Hall. There is always plenty to do and chat about, and whilst everyone arrives about 10.30, there is tea and coffee and the chance to take a look at the bring and buy stall, or the bring and win raffle. After extend chair exercises to improve mobility, members are served a two course home-cooked lunch followed by the week’s entertainment – this week, it’s Joan’s card Bingo. All for £7! If you would like to join, or know someone who would, please contact Jane (252973) or Linda (252283) who can also arrange for transport if necessary.
