Race Night: Northiam Bonfire Society invite you to a Race Night in the Rose & Crown, Beckley, on Saturday 21st February. If you’re not a seasoned punter, don’t worry – I got the hang of it very fast last time! Horses are on sale over the bar at £3, and on the night, bets are 50p. Local businesses have sponsored the races, so the horse-owner wins £25, and the bets are worked out by someone who understands maths!

The races are shown on the large TV screen in the pub, so it’s just like being there! Entry is free, Alice’s beer is always spot on, and the company’s good. Hope you can join us.

Footpath Walk: The Footpath Group will leave the surgery car park at 1.30pm on Sunday, to start a 5 mile walk from Sedlescombe.
