A fond farewell to our Post Office, and to Richard who has put up with us for so long! For once, such a sentence isn’t bad news, as the Post Office should have been set up in the new Jempsons by now, and Richard and Sally are making no plans to leave us.

Indeed, Sally is planning the next clothing collection for Chitiwiri, so, if the nicer weather is leading you to have a clear out – clothes, bedding, curtains, belts, shoes, soft toys – your unwanted items can be turned into money to make huge differences in Malawi. I see that they are about to try a new irrigation system to enable the school to farm two acres, and if it works for them, perhaps the whole village can copy the system and avoid the hungry month(s) so routine in Africa. Sally will be taking in collections from 28th April.

The badminton clubs meet on Friday evening in the Pretious Sports Hall at 5.30pm (Primary) 6.30pm (Secondary) and 8pm (Adults) in the Pretious Sports Hall. Dance Club meets in the Village Hall from 7.30pm.
