As this is a rather short column, may I draw your attention to all the many societies and clubs in the village, most of which would be thrilled to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer their time to help. At the moment, I know that the Horticultural Society particularly needs committee members. They are a very jolly lot, and you don’t need to be a gardening wizard to help with all the many jobs which make it such a successful society.

The new Bonfire Society is looking for people to help to marshall or collect money at our Bonfire Procession on November 23rd, or to help with fundraising events throughout the year. The Parish Magazine can always make great use of people prepared to take on a small area for delivery. The Village Hall Trust would love to hear from anyone able to help with their events, or who could run a fundraising event for the hall.

If you have time to spare, please do speak to anyone at a society’s meeting, and you will be welcomed with open arms! Look in the Parish Magazine for a list of who’s who and see what interests you – and if there isn’t anything there which tickles your fancy – how about starting something!!

Services (22nd): 8am Holy Communion, 10.30am Morning Praise
