Not safe to fly the flag at Landgate
One of two flag-poles on Rye’s historic Landgate Arch has become too unsafe to use says Rother District Council.
Rother has said it will not be replacing the defective pole.
Rye Town Council says it is still awaiting confirmation from the district council that it can fly a flag, of its choice, from the other pole during the visitor season.
