Not so plain speaking

The Intermediate Public Speaking team from St Richard's Catholic College, sponsored by The Rotary Clubs of Battle and Bexhill, was delighted to achieve third place in the 2011 National Final.

Following success in the local, district and regional finals, the St Richard’s team travelled to Cranleigh School for the UK Final of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland’s “Youth Speaks” competition.

The team of Tillita Maher (main speaker), Declan Mason (chairperson) and Grace Baszczak (proposer of the vote of thanks) put in a strong performance in presenting their topic “What is Reality?” which was a philosophical investigation into the relationship between reality and the imagination.
