The site is part of the ‘garden city’-style proposals for 600 homes newly adopted by Arun in its local plan.

Today, Arun’s development control committee was considering three separate planning applications for 370 of those homes.

In a statement with the Manor Nursery application, agents for the developers Hanbury Property say it is no longer commercially viable, due to the impact of the nearby Roundstone Garden Centre on the A259.
