Off-duty paramedic helps patient injured in Washinton collision

An off-duty paramedic helped treat an injured patient after two vehicles collided in Washington yesterday evening (Wednesday April 1).

The incident in London Road was reported to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb) at around 8pm.

A spokesperson for SECamb said: “We sent one ambulance to the scene where there were reports of a two vehicle collision.

“An off duty paramedic stopped on their way home to help.”

They added the patient was suffering from neck pain and was taken to Worthing Hospital for further checks.
