Oil spill causes trouble on A271
A HUGE oil spill on the A271 caused a headache for motorists in Battle on Wednesday (August 27).
Fire crews were called at 9.15am to the road outside The Squirrel pub after a lorry engine blew up, dumping the oil on to the road. The Highways Agency were called to clean up the scene while police redirected traffic.
