SUSSEX WILDLIFE TRUST EASTBOURNE: Group's next Meeting will be held as usual in the Main Hall of the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road on Thursday April 21 commencing at 7.30pm. There will be an illustrated talk (preceded by a very, very short AGM) by Wildlife Photographer and Lecturer, Gordon Small titled 'Wild Scotland'. The talk will bring to us some of the amazing variety of wildlife and habitats to be found in Scotland including Otters, Pine Martens, White-tailed and Golden Eagles, Ptarmigan, Crossbills and many more. The admission charge is £2.00 for SWT Members and £3.00 for Non-Members - tea/coffee and biscuits will be served during the interval for which a there is charge of 50p. There is a large car park adjacent to the Church. THE COMMUNITY WISE Centre: in Ocklynge Road has many activities coming up that you are welcome to attend. On Saturday April 23, from 10-12 noon a Jumble Sale takes place, to raise money to help Calais refugees. The Village Market at The Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road takes place on Saturday April 30 from 10am-12.30pm. Once there you will find so many local, fresh and organic goods and foods – homemade cakes, pies, scones, jams and produce, locally produced bread, free range eggs, fresh olive oil direct from Greece, local honey, home-made curries ... the list goes on. Lovely local crafts also on sale make ideal gifts. Entry is free and refreshments are on sale all morning – a buttered scone and cup of tea or coffee costs only £1.20! Every Friday from 11-1.30 pm ‘Gather’ pop up cafe and simple soup lunch runs at Community Wise in Ocklynge Road. Open to all who live alone. Free entry, small charge for refreshments.
