Old Wassailcustom keptalive at Iden on Saturday
The old Sussex custom of wassailing the apple trees takes place at the Royal Oak pub at Rye Foreign on Saturday January 10 at 7pm.
There will be Morris dancing and a performance of a traditional Sussex Mummers play.
The custom blesses the trees to ensure a good crop of apples in the autumn.
